Welcome to our Southeast church of Christ website!
We are grateful with you for making time to inquire and learn more about us. As members of the body of our Lord Jesus Christ, our primary goal is to faithfully serve and worship our God in accordance with His word so that all glory may be His through His son (1st Peter 4:11). Understanding that we are epistles of Christ that are known and read by all men, we strive to show that we have been written by the Spirit of the living God (2nd Corinthians 3:2-3).
We believe that the one true God is to be worshiped in spirit and in truth for that is the worship He seeks and approves (John 4:23-24). We offer praises to our God with the fruit of our lips in song without the use of mechanical instruments (Colossians 3:16, Hebrews 13:15). We seek to sing and pray with understanding so that all in attendance may be edified and grow in the grace and the knowledge of our God (1st Corinthians 14:15-17, 2nd Peter 3:17-18). Our prayers are offered in the name of Jesus Christ to the Father so that the Father may be glorified by them(John 14:12-14). Every first day of the week (Sunday) we partake in the Lord's supper in remembrance of Him by eating unleavened bread and drinking fruit of the vine (Matthew 26:26-29, Acts 20:7, 1st Corinthians 11:23-26) and we make a collection for the saints (1st Corinthians 16:1-2, 2nd Corinthians 9:6-8). Also in accordance to His will, we assemble in fellowship and study our God's word together admonishing and exhorting each other to stir up love and good works with the whole truth of our God (Hebrews 10:24-25). We diligently work to present ourselves without shame before our God and preach with the purpose to convince, rebuke, and exhort with God's word His truth (2nd Timothy 2:15, 4:1-2). Finally, we press forward and try with our best effort to be the light of this world trying to shine bright to help lead all those who seek God find and glorify Him (Matthew 5:14-16, Philippians 2:14-16).
Therefore, we hope this will shed some light as to who we are and how we worship in spirit and in truth to be found approved servants of God. All of us here at the Southeast church of Christ invite and encourage you to come worship with us so that God may be always praised!

By: Orean Brown Saints it’s that time of year and season, no I’m not talking about the Fall season. I’m talking the about Presidential Election, and what some call the POLITICAL SILLY SEASON. The Devil’s Presumption (9-20-20)
By: Obed Pineda A presumptuous person often oversteps boundaries, brazenly taking liberties that have not been allotted to him. This audacious and arrogant attitude is a byproduct of a false sense of security created by an assumption that person firmly holds to be true. Undeniably, presumption is a dangerous road…
A Few, Simple Words (9-13-20)
By: Obed Pineda A common misbelief very popular in society is that it is very difficult to meet new people. One could surmise that a primary reason for the immense popularity of social media is because it eliminates the discomfort of having to speak in person. Having the ability to…
The Harvest of Tears (9-6-20)
By: Obed Pineda Life is unpredictable; no doubt about it. In fact, there are some who believe that this same unpredictability is what prevents it from ever going stale. Whatever the case may be, there is no form of denying that what makes life so capricious is how consistently change…
When I Grow Up (8-30-20)
By: Joel Ramirez Not a day goes by that my children don’t mention with excitement their ambition to grow up. Their enthusiasm always outweighs any trepidation they occasionally show in growing older. They are truly excited to grow! Do you remember that excitement you felt when you were baptized? Do…
Swelling Rivers (8-23-20)
By: Obed Pineda Ancient Greek historian Herodotus once wrote that “Egypt was the gift of the Nile.” Geographers and historians agree that the contributions of the Nile river to the rapid development of Egyptian civilization are undeniable. The Purpose of Scars (8-16-20)
By: Obed Pineda Many moons ago when I was a young toddler, of about two or three years of age, I sat atop a table inside a laundromat where my beautiful, beloved mother folded freshly washed clothes. It had been a very cold day and she had sat me near…
One Another Christianity (8-9-20)
By Zachary Teasley Currently, we live in a self-serviette society which is motivated by, if I do something, any activity at all, “what’s in it for me,” and how will I appear or look in society’s or the public eye and how will this action benefit me. Conversely, in…
The Greatest Con (8-2-20)
By: Obed Pineda One day, there was a man having a conversation with God. This man was very curious about what it must be to be God Himself. So he asked, “Lord, what is one day for You?” The Lord answered, “Well, for Me one day is like a thousand…
The Reign of Ignorance (7-19-20)
By: Obed Pineda Ignorance is described as “having little or no knowledge; unlearned” (The New American Webster Handy College Dictionary, Third Edition). For some, to live in this state of unknown is a positive thing. This laissez-faire (or care free) attitude is commonly justified by a strong belief that ignorance…
